Please excuse if you receive this message multiple times. I posted it twice last evening and it did not show up. Here's hoping that 3 is the charm.
Maria New York City Transit will begin a pilot program to install Help Point kiosks in 2 stations in Manhattan. Help Point will benefit customers who have an emergency or need informational assistance while traveling in New York City subway stations. The kiosks will also have a built in induction loop system to benefit customers with hearing impairments who use a hearing aid with telecoil (T-coil) abilities. One location will be 23 St Station on the 6 line and the other location at Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall station on the 4, 5 and 6 lines. We are looking for people from the ADA community to review the kiosk and give feedback at the Brooklyn Bridge station location. On Friday, April 1, 2011 at 10 AM you are welcome to come and bring anyone that you think would help in this phase.
