Hard to believe you could get that much of the Veil Nebula in 60 seconds.
That’s fantastic.

Thanks Pete!
The exposures were as follows:
M45 - 60s @ iso8000
NGC6960 - 60s @ iso12800
NGC6888 - 30s @ iso8000
These were taken with a Sony A7S camera, modified for full spectrum captures.
This camera is very low light sensitive. The OTA I used is a TPO 8"
Ritchey-Cretien at f/8.

Greg,
These are great, especially for single subs. I wouldn’t have believed that the
Veil Nebula could have been so distinct. How long were your exposures?

I'm glad we met up. We'll have to do it again!
Here are some of the images I grabbed last night. Hopefully the list server
will let these through.
These are single subs tweaked in Lightroom and reflect pretty much what I saw
on the screen through the evening. Hopefully I'll get around to stacking and
full processing in the next week. That should reveal quite a bit more.
As you might be able to see my collimation is off. I picked this OTA up on
Friday, so I'm still learning it. If anyone is familiar with collimating a
Ritchey-Cretian, specifically an AT8RC or similar, I might be able to use some
help.
NGC6888 - Crescent Nebula (lots of red in this area of the sky I guess)
NGC6960 - Veil Nebula

What's with these clouds? I don't recall this weekend having such a terrible

great stories to share! And look at one new object for me that you haven't seen

I still hope to go. My car is loaded up. However, I will keep looking at the
weather reports. Right now the reports have gotten worse, from an average of

care. Sam

Fairly cloudy here in North Glendale. Is everyone still going tonight?
