Awesome, fantastic, rainy Monday to all,
I'm working on the Awards Ceremony. Who gets the awards? Well, the one I'm
working on right now if for attendance at Public Outreach events. The Night
Sky Network awards pins to any Club Member who attends and helps out at 3
or more Public Outreach events in a year. So, for 2016, did you attend 3
public events for which you assisted in some way with a scope, handouts,
direct traffic, haul equipment, etc? Then, you might want to attend this
years' Awards Ceremony as you will be getting an NSN Pin for your Public
Outreach activities.
The other thing we award for is the Dart Game, of which, this Past
Saturday, due to the weather, the Social - where the Yearly dart game takes
place, was canceled. However, don't fret... we are rescheduling the PAS
Social. But the Dart Game has a Trophy that will be awarded to the Winner
of this year's Dart Game. Come play Darts at the PAS Social and win this
year's fantastic trophy!
Another item we do awards for, but again it got canceled this year, was the
Halloween Costume Contest. When we were to have our Halloween party at
Mike's, i believe we got rained out, and so there will not be an award for
the Halloween Costume Contest this year, but be prepared for next year's
event and come to the Costume Contest ready to WIN! Then, you can have the
Award at the 2018 Awards Ceremony.
We also have some additional trophies, awards, pins we may be giving out
this year. If you have an idea for what type of award to give out to those
who really deserve it, please let me know and while you are thinking about
that, watch in your email for chances to vote on who gets what awards this
year. There may be a few voting type questions, or survey's going out by
email, to get the needed input as to who to give awards to. Thanks so much
