Hi all and happy oneth of the month, moan-day to everybody, gotta go
back to work on this first day of August. Sandy wanted the other two
skip and flip songs, and as you recall from yesterday's message, their
real names were Clyde Batton, and Gary Paxton, so today, back to 1959
for the four hundred ninth biggest song of that year from skip and
flip, this is fancy nancy, so I hope you will enjoy it. Now, Sandy is
also looking for something from the 1910 fruitgum company, that I
couldn't find on youtube, which is called the chewing gum song, and I
did find something called the song song, but if anyone has the chewing
gum song by the 1910 fruitgum company, please send it to me, and yes, I
did find another song from the 1910 fruitgum company, which I like, and
we'll have that tomorrow. I forgot to mention some memories of
Saturday and Sunday, July thirtieth, and thirty-first, fifty years ago,
and I had just gotten a ouigi board, but it never worked, so I threw it
away in January of 1967 at the school for the blind, and I'm actually
glad it didn't work, because there are demonic forces that control
those things, so God must have been watching over me, but on Saturday,
the tropospheric conditions were in, so we were getting the San Diego
channels on tv, even though the picture may not have been great, but
there was a show that the late gene weed from k f w b in Los Angeles
had called shiveree, and later that night, my auntie al and uncle marty
came over, and we tried the ouigi board, and I asked it what we would
have for dinner, and it just said egg, but that was all, and that
wasn't even close to what we actually had, though I don't remember what
the meal actually was. Then, on Sunday, the thirty-first, just before
a big to do at the irvine company, the tropospheric conditions were in
again, and I was watching x e w t channel twelve from tijuana Mexico,
and the announcer sounded like enrique flores, who was on k o f y in
San Mateo, here in the bay area, but my brother and sister always
complained that they didn't want to watch channel twelve, but I liked
watching it, because in those days in 1966 it came on at 4 in the
afternoon, with a program called adventures in english, with jack gadd,
and they would also have english movies with spanish sub-titles. I
remember one Sunday, watching k o g o channel ten in San Diego, and
they had a monster movie on, but even though the sound was clear, the
picture from khj tv channel 9 in Los Angeles was upside down, according
to what my sister said, but now that tv has gone digital, no more d x,
but I understand they can put lots more things on the side channels.
