My mom had guillian barret I think about five years ago, and she definitely was
hospitalized twice and went twice to a rehabilitation center. She worked and
worked at physical therapy, even after being released to go home. She was able
to go to a pool next to San Leandro Hospital, and I'm sure she hurt at times,
but she's a real fighter. I'm sure you will be, too. I've had physical therapy
several times, once when I broke my wrist, once for my arthritic knees, and once
when I began having pain in my shoulders which at that time wasn't diagnosed as
arthritis. You bet I worked hard. But, with arthritis, there isn't a whole lot
you can do. The Baker's cyst in the back of my left
Knee makes it impossible for me to ride an exercise bike my mom got for me,
which I definitely rode and got sweaty with. I know the your pain is reallybad
with the tear in your rotator cuff, and I'm surethe pain and the workers are
keeping you awake at night. Try to hang in there, and take our advice. Others
of us have beenthrough similar experiences, and there are some of us on list who
will have to live the rest of our lives with ongoing pain. Please consider
yourself lucky that the rotator cuff can be fixed through surgery, thus ending
your pain.

Thanks, Kathleen. I'll let you all know how the results come out. I'm
glad the guy didn't ask you if you had a family member to help you.
Maybe he might have asked out of ignorance.

Hi, Linda,
I'm so sorry the muscle in the back of your knee was hurting badly. I'm
glad you went to the E R and got it checked and are getting plenty of rest.
