was the driving force behind the limeliters, passed away, and the little bit of
the wikipedia article I'll share, indicated he died on Thursday due to
complications of dimentia.

Glenn Robertson Yarbrough (January 12, 1930 – August 11, 2016) was an American
folk singer. He was the lead singer with The Limeliters between 1959 and 1963,
and had a prolific solo career, recording on various labels.
The main song that he was known for was baby the rain must fall in 1965, but
here's one that doesn't get noticed called I've been to town.
