Thank goodness your aid can sew! Hey, don’t expect yourself to do miracles
like opening bottles and jars yet. You’ve gotta have healing time, otherwise
you wouldn’t still be going to physical therapy. I just heard from an
orthopedist I saw Tuesday that anything having to do with the shoulders takes
a really long time to heal.

She said she would bring a needle and thread on Friday. Hopefully she'll
remember. I sure hope so. Because I don't know where my sewing kit is in even
if I did I don't know how to sew stuff. Are you stillWell my 80 even had
trouble getting the bottle open she said it took a lot of energy. But she got
it. There are the voices that you can use to open stuff. I had a couple of
those and I think they got lost in the move. But I'll tell you this much the
follow my leader book was originally read by Livingston Gilbert. I don't know
if you guys remember him as a narrator but he was for a while. But anyway that
was the person that originally read that book. When it was on regular records.
But that's just how that wasn't but I think I'm going to have trouble opening
things for a while and it's really kind of frustrating. Honestly it really is.
Man I wish I didn't have to go to therapy tomorrow because it's going to be up
near 90 and humid too. But I really don't want to cancel. Ouch shots in the
shoulder that is not fun. Man I know what that feels like. Not fun at all. And
I don't like needles so getting a shot I really don't care for it. Honestly I
really don't. But anyway my eight houses so button on one of my shirts it came
off. And she said

Hi Kathleen,Hi Kathleen,
Oh boy, do I know how frustrating it can be to get things opened. Pickle
relish seems to be awfully difficult for me, and the only way I can do it is to
wrap the jar in to a bath towel with the cap being a separate fold from the
rest of the jar, and then move counter-clockwise with my right hand. I can
grip the jar fine, but can’t open the lids because they’re cealed on too
tightly.
Glad your therapy is going well, but I know what you mean being real sore. I
just got two injections, one in each shoulder, and I was told not to go to
physical therapy this week. I’ll do the exercises I usually do here at home,
but that’s it.
Sorry you missed your call from Ray, but hopefully you’ll reconnect.

Linda I remember that book. It was on talking book. Remember when the talking
book records were just regular records? That's how the book came. Anyway I read
it too. But I'll tell you this much when I set off the Macy's fireworks display
it sounded like I was in a war zone since I'm so close to the East River. Oh
man I was glad it was over. I mean it was wow. Oh boy. Anyway when my egg come
she's going to have to help me open a bottle of ginger rail. It's a screwtop
bottle when I can't get the damn thing open no matter how hard I tried. I
banged it on the counter and everything and do you think I can get the thing
open no way. I think it sealed up like Fort Knox. You think manufacturers would
make things easier for people to open. Oh yes I know they have to protect
people from stuffy and contaminated but still what about people that have
handed shoes? I mean it's really crazy. Some of the stuff they seal it so tight
you'll never get it open. It's really crazy. I even said something about it on
Facebook too. Even the therapy when I was up there yesterday I got there early
and I did my email and Facebook. And I had five bars on my cell phone. When I'm
down here I only have one or two. But anyway I took a cab home yesterday and
the guy was Muslim. Anyway he told me he was. And he actually help me do the
credit card transaction which I didn't think he would. And I asked him why he
did that and he said they were supposed to do good deeds. But he asked me if I
had any site at all and I said no. And he asked me how I got wine. Blind and I
told him it was from birth. Anyway the thing of it is a lot of people for trail
these Muslims this Terrace. This guy was OK I think. He said he was from
Pakistan I think. But anyway that's just how that went. But let's put it this
way I was sure glad to get home from therapy. I'm really sore today. But like a
boy in that book follow my lead or his name was Jimmy Carter. And yes I
remember that book totally. It was really good. I still have a lot of books
here to read. My friend Ray called me this morning but I didn't make it to the
living room to answer the phone. So he left me a voicemail. And I sent him a
text. Oh well. I left a voicemail on his cell phone and I hope he'll call me.
But anyway it's too bad about the baby. But a lot of dogs are afraid of
fireworks. It's best to keep them inside.

Connie, I say the same things about fire crackers and the like. Wehad a bunch
of ‘em here too, and those who insist on using them don’t seem to care that
they are nothing but destructive and can easily hurt someone. I remember
having a book read to me in third grade called “Follow My Leader” about a boy
who is blinded by fire crackers and who eventually gets a guide dog who rescues
a scout troop out of a bad situation.

Hi Karen, that is good news. I don't blame you. I would want the baby home
too so I could see that it is okay. I hate fire works and fire crackers. I
wish they would be outlawed. People get hurt by them and they scare animals.
I'll pray baby can come home soon.

Hi, All,
Just heard from my son and he says the tubes are out, neck brace is off, baby
RJ eating on his own, but they are awaiting MRI results. Will feel much better,
though, when I talk to him later. Thank you all for praying.
Just want that baby home where I can touch him and see that he's okay.
