Oh I think I'll get it it may take some calling people and making noise but
I'll get it. Dr. Gordon is pretty good about doing stuff and so was his staff.
His assistant is as well. So hopefully that'll be OK. And Megan said she would
help too. So basically I don't know what she's worried about. I mean she
doesn't want me go to go to the hospital by myself. And I know how to go. I
just depends on which hospital. As long as somebody gives the bus directions or
what building I can usually go. And if I do have problems people on the street
are usually helpful and I'm not worried about that. Well I did buy what I
wanted to buy tonight. Yes I did. And I'm really glad. Oh I know I shouldn't
shop on QVC but it's easier shop that way for clothes. Try to get help at a
regular store and that's not easy. I mean you can sometimes we try to find a
sales person if you're by yourself that's not easy either.

Subject: [ourplace] Re: Terrible Crane Accident
Yes it is going take a long time to clean an accident up to. They said that
area may not be open to traffic or businesses until Monday. And that's really
going to hurt a lot of businesses down in that area. And no I didn't hear the
crane come down because I'm too far away. But that's basically how that goes.
Monday depending on the weather I go to the doctor and will deal with all the
stuff. That will be the end of that. But anyway my friend Greg came over and
he brought me some scones. He told me to talk to visions the agency for the
blind. The joys of recreation and social services in here and try to get them
to give me a volunteer for reading and stuff. Hopefully they will. There's
another group called helping hands for the blind here in the city and they
have volunteers to. Although one of the volunteers stole off one of my
neighbors. I don't know why either. I know that you told me that $75 took a
walk. There's no need for that and nobody has the right to steal. But let'
s see what happens with that endeavor. But anyway all this'll work out in the
end. My mother still is asking me who's going to go to the hospital with me.
She called me last night and she was just sitting home and worrying about
everything. She's driving me crazy about this whole mess. She keeps asking me
when I'm going to get cleaning help and all this kind of thing. I told her
the doctor has to certify for it. But oh boy I know she's going to keep
bugging me and bugging me and bugging me and it's driving me crazy. I told
her it will get done. And that's the end of it. And then she asked me who was
going to call her after the surgery was over and I told her I would.

Hi Kathleen,
I heard about the horrible accident involving the crane last night on the
news. It’s amazing only one person was killed, and a bunch of cars were
literally cut in half as the crane fell on them.
I haven’t yet seen the second generation Victor Stream, but even the first
generation Victor Stream could go into a purse very easily. It’s probably an
inch and a half thick, perhaps two inches wide and four inches long. My Book
Port is thinner and narrower than that. I would imagine the second
generation Victor Stream is about the size of a Book Port but can do more
things.

Well I don't think a victor stream would do me that good right now. I
don't have Wi-Fi in here so I don't think I would be able to download. That's
kind of a bummer though too. Man I wish I could've gotten one but oh well.
I'm not really sure what I want for my birthday. Oh yes but I ordered my
Cheryl's cookies oh definitely. And I got my banana bread in that order too.
It hasn't come yet I think it'll come around the 12th. That'll be a nice
thing to have after surgery. That would be good too. Well let's see. I talked
to my mom and after that I'm just relaxing. I'm not really doing anything
else. What is a victor stream light? How big is it? I guess you can read
books and all that kind of thing. I've never touched one so I don't know what
it feels like. Can somebody tell me what it's like? I'm just curious. Well
there's another video on the net about the crane the fellow here in New York
City.

Wonder if the Victor Stream has stations that are on Tune-In Radio. I
haven’t heard of O-O Tunes, but if that works from a computer, I would

Linda,
Yes you can like radio stations and such. Also you can download
podcasts. I have a 32 gig but lots of stuff on my card. I have allot of
music on it and old radio shows, as well.
Also book. If an internet radio station is on OO tunes you can listen
to it even the listen factor. It is really easy to safe your favorite
internet stations.
I think you will love it. I also have the old victor stream.

Oo, sounds really promising to me! Looks like a 16 gig card may not
be enough, but we’re talking about things you can listen to on the net,
right?

Well, I know that The Listen Factor folks will help you if you want
help to get their stuff on there. They show lots of stuff you'd probably
like, and they've got drama, movies, sitcoms, old radio, lots of stuff.

Hmmm, wish I’d known. I saw the sale price at which Laz Mesa was
selling it and decided to save $15.00. I just might put Blindy TV on it.
It’s in my favorites and I almost never watch it. I’ll be looking forward to
being able to download BARD books directly onto this Victor Stream. But,
o-oh, I hope I’ve got my wy-fi number on my cell phone because I lost the
sheet of braille paper it was on.

If you buy it from Roger Behm, he puts some stations on it for you
like Beatles and listen factor and Blindie Tv. Can't think of what else, but
he does that, and is wonderful to deal with.

Would you believe, I was gonna order it today, even deposited money my

money to make it through the rest of the month, but when I got home, I took a

ends tomorrow. Lately I’ve been forgetting things, like mailing a talking
book back to the Arizona State Library though I knew my mom and I were going
right by a mail box yesterday. Then I forgot to give my brother his lasagna
dish and jam jar back to him. Fortunately, he remembered. Don’t know what’s
going on or not going on with my head.

With I-Phone
Linda, when you boot up your phone, that's when you put in the
numbers. After that, if the screen locks and you do have fingerprint ID up
and running, all you need do is put your finger in, and it will unlock the
screen.
As for the second generation Stream, it's so great! Downloading books
is even easier than using the old software. You have a couple of ways of
doing it, and everyone has their favorite, I guess, but it's totally easy. If
you want help, call us.

Oh, really? I had no earthly idea! I thought, and I think my phone
has said on occasion, that for me to use touch ID, I must put in my six-digit
pass code. I think I’m reaching senility or something similar, a
technological overload. I am seeming to become really overwhelmed by
technology. I don’t put music on my I-Phone, finding it much, much easier
to put it on my Sanza Clip MP3 player from talkingmp3players.com
<http://talkingmp3players.com> , from whom I’m also going to be purchasing
a new Victor Stream. Right now, I’m having to use my old Victor Stream to
download books from BARD using my Book Port software. It’s crazy, but it
does work, but I’d just like to update the Victor Stream although my old
one still works perfectly well. I suspect music sounds a whole lot better
on the second-generation one. Thankfully, Laz Mesa does a great tutorial
with this machine. As to Drop Box, I’ll hopefully
listen to the three-part tutorial in the next couple of days, pain
notwithstanding.

Hi Linda. I just got in at the middle of this thread so forgive me if
I missed something. However. The whole purpose of touch ID is to prevent you
from having to put in your passcode every time you unlock your phone. That's
the beauty of touch ID.

Linda, to go from one contact to another, try swiping from left to
right instead of going up and down. I think with a little practice and a few
more fun apps, you'll never want to go back, but that's just my opinion. :)

Hi All,
I was talking to my friend Gina about this. Like me, she has an
I-Phone 5, but
I don't think she's upgraded to I-OS 9 point anything. I've updated
to 9.3, and
I've noticed when I try to move through my contacts list, even though
I'm using
the familiar page-up gesture, I'm getting a beep sound and the word
"refreshing"
a lot, and the page isn't moving up. Seems to me that as they're
updating, some
of the more basic functions are becoming more difficult to do, and I
don't know
why this has to be that way. I'm so annoyed that when my contract
runs out in
August, I'm thinking about going back to a regular flip phone as I've
never used
Blind Square, and only occasionally use the KNFB Reader and money
talker. I've
gotten another manual bill readingmachine which is in my purse at all
times.
