Hi Linda and all, it seems that more and more when you buy watch batteries like
the crc-2500's, stores won't replace those, and jewelers in this area are going
out of business, but I found one on piedmont avenue, and I tried my darndest to
ask him to show me how to put the battery in, but he kept saying, let me do it,
over and over again, but there is going to come a time, where you'll go to a
place that sells watch batteries, and they won't put them in the watch, because
they don't want to be responsable for anything happening, so all I want is to
have someone show me once, how to do it, and that way, if I need to put the
battery in, I can do it myself, but it's sad that the foreigners at cvs and
other places won't put the watch batteries in for you.

where the batteries are. This watch seems to have a battery compartment which
is much more user-friendly for jewelers so that the batteries can be replaced
easily. On so many of the talking watches we've bought, the battery
compartment
is sautered within the watch and it's just really difficult for them to change
batteries. Ironically, there's a store in Alameda which carries talking
watches, of course for a huge mark-up. If time, transportation and parking
exist in the future, I might show this watch to the jeweler who sold me a
talking watch early in the year. I ran into something with this large-faced
Avala watch, so the fact that it doesn't work now isn't any fault of Avala's.
That company also uses a very nice band. That company makes atomic watches,
and
this one-buttoned watch is not an atomic watch, the only thing I'd change if I
could. The Lighhouse staff sent this watch via U. P. S. to me, so of course I
had to pay for shipping. In my current circumstances, that's the only way I
can
go. The watch was at my door before 9:00 A. M. yesterday.
