Hi, Connie,

That's neat your standard poodle turned a year old yesterday. He sounds so
cute. That's neat you had spaghetti and garlic bread for dinner.
Sounds like you had a great Christmas.

Hi Chris,
It sounds like you had a nice Christmas. We had a relaxing and eventful
Christmas. Our standard poodle turned a year old yesterday. He is still
very full of energy. He let us relax for a while. Then he had enough of it.
It was almost like he knew it was his birthday. He wanted everyone to play
with him. So, we did. He finally settled down at 9:00 P.M. We had
spaghetti and garlic bread for dinner. Not the traditional Christmas dinner
but it was good. I didn't make any deserts because my husband is diabetic
and I have no will power when it comes to sweets. Adam, our son would have
helped eat the desert but, I figured Dennis and I would eat more of it then
Adam so, I didn't make any. All and All, we had a good Christmas.

Morning all, hope you had a wonderful Christmas Day. Mine was a great one.

Dad picked me up around 11:30. We went to his local for a pint of
Sleigh Bell, a festive version of the Hob Gobblin ale. Very nice it
was too! We had just the one each, believe us on that. Smile. Then we
went to his house where I spent the rest of the day there. I just
chilled until after 14:00 when everybody arrived. These include
eldest sister Kayleigh and female partner Jack, youngest sister
Letitia with her partner Mark and of course our lovely niece Sophia,
who has been amazing by the way. Also arrived were stepmother Julie
who worked in the morning along with her parents Sylvia and Eric. So
yes it was chaos. But in a good way, of course. Our parents decided
to let us open presents after our lovely food. After 15:00 we all sat
down to a bowl of homemade potato and leek soup. Mine was in a mug
though as it is easier for me to drink, not eat, soup. Tried this
several times, only for it to go anywhere but in my mouth. Lol! Then
about an hour later, we all had the usual r
o
as
t turkey with all the trimmings. Then it was after 17:00 when we all sat
round the tree and opened our presents. Here is what I got.

From dad and Julie I received a pair of new pyjamas, two thermal tops and
two brand new cushions to go along with my lovely sofa. I also received two
500 ml bottles of Guinness Golden Ale. Tried one actually, and very nice it
was too!

From Kayleigh and Jack I received two 500 ml bottles, one a Christmas beer
called Rocking Rudolph which is an ale, and another Hob Gobblin which again
is an ale. Other gifts include a Nivea Men gift set consisting of shower
gel, deodorant and moisturizer. Finally I received a scarf from them. I
confess to feeling quite bad as obviously they have spent more money than I
did on them. So to make up for this, Hannah suggests I get a thank you card
and present to them. I'm thinking of an iTunes gift card worth £25.00 each.
Will do this after the New Year.

From Tish, short for Letitia, Mark and Sophia I received an iTunes gift
card worth £25.00.

Last but not least, I even received one gift from a couple of my regular
caregivers. One of them, Susan Jarvis, bought me a San Miguel set consisting
of a 275 ml bottle of the aformentioned lager, along with a San Miguel glass
to go with it. Wow! Another regular caregiver, Chloe Ingram, bought me a
chocolate gnome. How cute!

So there you have it. Have I done well, or have I done well? Will leave that
with you. Smile.

We then all had some cheese and crackers. No festive desserts this year, but
frankly I wasn't bothered with that. So the cheese and crackers was a good
compromise.

Dad dropped me off back home before 21:00.

So yes, a great Christmas Day was had by all.

Before I sign off, dad and I had a chat in the car about what we might do
next Christmas, since he felt it was too much preparation what with 12 of us
being there altogether. Kayleigh and Jack are going to Australia some time
next year, for a year, and travel around. And with Tish expecting her second
child around the summer, we may do something different. That is, go out for
Christmas dinner rather than have it cooked at home.

Well I hope you liked the account of my Christmas Day. Now let's hear from
all of you.

I hope you have a good Saturday or Boxing Day if you celebrate it. Merry
Christmas!!!
