Hi, Vicky,

I have a friend who's married to a sighted man and even though they've had
their ups and downs, they've had a strong marriage. Lorita, whom I've mentioned
on here before, met her husband through a singles group at their Catholic
Church. Michael, her husband, dated other blind women in the past but things
didn't work out. They had some problems years ago but he loved her enough to
get counseling and now things are better between them.

Actually, Kathleen, both organizations of the blind, the ACB and the NFB highly
support and recommend that blind people marry each other. You probably know, a
lot of blind people are mistreated by some sighted spouses, and/or the
marriages don’t last. Actually, I have seen it work both ways. I know a guy
who has married no sighted people at all, but has been married 5 times to other
blind women. So, marriage, no matter if its to a sighted person, is hard at
times, but it can work. My husband who is sighted an I have been married, 30
years as of November 9th. So, it does work. We help each other. He has his

Document yet hearing things that weren't there was kind of scary. I really
don't want to have that experience again. But I think I'm going to have a block
this lady out of my Facebook account. Her delete her as a friend. Well I didn't
think she was that ignorant but apparently she is. She thinks the blind people
should only socialize with each other and that we shouldn't marry sighted
people. That's just really crazy. And she had this idea if I got somebody cited
to read my mail but it might turn into a regular relationship. I don't know
where she gets these ideas. And I asked her why she felt blind people shouldn't
marry sighted people and she said that just wasn't acceptable. I just don't
know where she got these ideas from. And then she kept giving me these numb
phone numbers for these agencies for the blind to read my mail. I told her I
already knew about them. And she gave and gave me the phone number of the
agency for the blind those recreation in my building. And I tol d her I didn't
want to be around blind people all the time. She said well you blind people
have everything in common. What I don't know where people get these weird ideas
from one is just really weird. So I haven't talk to her lately. I don't even
message her through messenger anyonditoins and I have mine.

more. I guess she doesn't want to talk to me because I wouldn't do what she
wanted. But anyway that's OK. I just don't know why she was that ignorant I
thought she was more intelligent than that but I guess not.

Hi, Kathleen,

That's awful that the codeine made you hear things that weren't there.
Years ago a friend of mine said that codeine made her feel wired just
like caffine would if you had too much of it.

Walt I really wish you luck getting your teeth pulled. Ouch I don't
think I'd like to be in your place. When I had my four wisdom teeth
taken out they were had to be taken out before they were fully formed.
I went to sleep. I was not going to have that done awake. And I wish
you're glad until all the stuff were off. Then it hurt. Then I found
out that I couldn't handle coding. When I took codeine, I got very
dizzy, my ears rang, and I heard things that weren't there. So that
was the end of me and coding. I could never take that stuff again.
Because I sure don't want to have that experience again. That was
really scary. But I wish you luck at your appointment and I hope it
goes smoothly for you. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

It's Monday again, and once again I'm heading for the dentist's
office. Today, a consultation with the oral surgeon who'll be
extracting my bottom right wisdom tooth - the one with a curved root.
Hopefully, your Monday doesn't include something like that. And if it
does, maybe these five nuggets will help. As usual, the Dropbox link
comes first; then, the track list.

01 MerryGoRound, Live (Full Version)

Though I cannot recall exactly when this came out, it surely sounds
like 1967 to me.

02 Jonathan King - Round, Round

I never heard this in 67, when it was released. At least where I
was, it must not have received anything close to the air play given
Jonathan's 1965 hit, "Everyone's Gone to the Moon."

03 Walter Vaughn - Down On My Knees

The late Dr. Don Rose had this on his play list at WEBC here in
Duluth for a bit during the summer of 61. But if I could find it on
Youtube, it must have been played elsewhere as well even though Duluth
was the only market in which I heard it.

04 Pat Boone, With the Wind and the Rain in Your Hair

I think this gets the nod as my favorite by Boone. Released at the
beginning of 1959, it features Billy Vaughn's orchestra.

05 David Seville, Gotta Get To Your House

Before the Chipmunks and the witch doctor, David Seville was making
records. The earliest I'm aware of was released in 1951. This one, the
first by Seville that I ever heard on the radio, came out during summer 1957.

Thanks for considering these nuggets. I hope you have a good enough
Monday, and a fine week.
