Hi, Gaston,

I handle things in a similar way. For the most part I try to be diplomatic with sighted people unless I feel they're just on the edge of stupidity. One time I did get a stupid question. The person asked me "how do blind people eat". I answered, "with their feet". After that, the person felt so embarrassed.

Hey folks,

If and when, my discussion with sighted people reaches a pretty stale point, I
ask them a good simple question.

If you are blind tomorrow.
How would you like us to treat you?

Then, I smile and wait for the response.
