Johnny Barnes: A man who brought happiness to thousands of people with
a very simple act.
Johnny Barnes
Johnny, who passed away in July at the age of 93, lived on the
Caribbean island of Bermuda, where for 30 years, he brought joy to
people by the thousands.
How? By giving them love on a grand scale.
Each day, Monday thru Friday, from 3: 40 am to 10 am. Johnny stood on a
greenbelt alongside a very busy intersection, and greeted people.
With a warm, welcoming smile, he would wave and blow kisses. "I love
you," he would callout and assure people they are beautiful.
As a result, Johnny touched so many lives, that if he wasn't on that
greenbelt, people flooded the local radio station with calls, to be
sure he was alright.
Even in old age, Johnny expressed his love as you'll see in this
beautiful video.
Editor's Note: Johnny and his wife were married for 67 years, until his
passing. They never had children, but Johnny cared for the well-being
of everyone he met.
We first saw Johnny's story on Karma Tube. To learn more, please see
