Oh wow, interesting. Good bubblegom. I was at the Orientation Center for
theBlind when the record came out, having just graduated from high school in
June. It wasn’t one of the records I was able to buy in that time period.

Our fellow lister might be able to confirm or deny the validity of this. But I
once heard that the other side of “Kiss Him Good-bye” was intended as the hit,
and that it happened the other way because an engineer left the tape machine
rolling as the group fooled around.

Thanks, Walt, for sharing this with us. I did get it added to Favorites in my
Victor Stream Sunday morning. Interestingly enough, the song they were playing
as I was adding it to my favorites was “Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye” by
Steam. We have someone on list who was the drummer for that session, and he
absolutely despises the song, LOL.
