I know .... its strange .... but it does happen sometimes.

The O'reilly book "Mastering Oracle SQL" by Mishra and Beaulieu has
information on the Case command.

Well, I've been using decode for that purpose and I used CASE
in PL/SQL, but this little detail was elusive. I kept combing
PL/SQL manual for a CASE expression example.
