So, I was right if I want to see all that have been applied or installed
I have to query both and get complementary information?

dba_registry_history will show all of the patches you have applied. The
dba_registry shows the various "modules" that are installed (e.g. oracle
text, oracle enterprise manager).

Sorry a basic question here, though I have checked the fine doc, seems
to be not clear yet, what is the diff between dba_regsitry and
dba_registry_history? I would think as a complement one each other, but
at this moment not sure at all.

DBA_REGISTRY_HISTORY

DBA_REGISTRY_HISTORY provides information about upgrades, downgrades,
and critical patch updates that have been performed on the database.

DBA_REGISTRY

DBA_REGISTRY displays information about the components loaded into the
database.
