change_notification + original export/import

I made use of export/import to change the database characterset months ago and
not longer have the log file for either operation.
I just discovered that change notification registrations no longer exist in the
database and I suspect this happened during the export/import but I can't find
anything in the docs that mention this.
Anyone know if exp/imp supports change notification in 10.2.0.5 on RHEL 5?
