Hi I have two views on this. The first is that nearly all applications will not have application performance noticeably affected by the choice of block size. So I don't really care that much and tend to leave everything at the default. In general it's SQL and application design that will be your problem. The second is that we could only give a recommendation if we knew what filesystem if any you were using and any special characteristics of the application as they pertain to block size (use of longs/blobs/clobs, rapidly expanding rows, lots of small lookup tables) and so on. cheers On 2/28/07, Denham Eva <DEVA@xxxxxxxx> wrote:
