There is a place within the concurrent manager to enable a trace, most
likely this job has trace enabled and the concurrent request runs hours
hence the hourly trace. If you are not familiar with the apps then you need
to contact the owner of the job and have them disable tracing on it.

Yes, it's an Oracle app's db. And yes, I believe you're right that the
process comes from the concurrent manager. I ran tkprof on the trace file
and got a bunch of calls to concurrent this that and the other.

Why would it be starting a 10046 trace though? I get them every hour. (BTW
I'm asking these questions because it's not really my db, I just happened to
be oncall when it went down.)

Thanks,

Finn

Is this database used for Oracle Applications? It has been a while since
I've dealt extensively with an Oracle Applications system, so take with a
grain of salt. This trace file might be the result of a process running in
the concurrent manager. I recall that ANONYMOUS is used in the trace file
name.

Has anybody ever seen a trace file with this name before :
fint_ora_26608_ANONYMOUS.trc ?

Unfortunately the file is timestamped at the same time as PMON terminated
with an error, so it might be related. The contents of the file seems to be
a 10046 trace.

Finn
