got to get the library properly copied in order to use the LLT protocol :-) It's in the Veritas doc's, as well as the previously mentioned metalink notes... greg ________________________________ From: oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Sriram Kumar Sent: Tuesday, March 14, 2006 10:06 AM To: john d parker Cc: ORACLE-L Subject: Re: RAC Interconnect in Slowaris Hi John, Thanks very much. The alert log reads as cluster interconnect IPC version:Oracle UDP/IP IPC Vendor 1 proto 2 Version 1.0 You are correct. It is using the public interconnect as the RAC interconnect. I should ask them to change this immediately. There is a step in there where you copy the gxn2 and gxp libraries. These enable Oracle to use the LLT transport under VCS. Also, look at the alert.log entries from startup, if it says ORACLE UDP/IP you are using the slow public interconnect, if it says Veritas IPC, you are using the fast VCS cluster interconnect. I actually just did this with a client. John --- Sriram Kumar <k.sriramkumar@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Hi, > > Any one running 9i RAC on Solaris 9 (Using Veritas cluster)?.
