I disagree.
Requests with no details asking for detailed answers really don't leave much choice. 

These kinds of requests are appearing every more frequently here.

This list is 'staffed' by volunteers willing to share their knowledge.
Someone asking for help has be be willing to write a clear concise email, with enough details to give some indication of the direction that should be taken, and allow potential respondents to determine if the he or she has 
any useful information to provide.

Kind of like the request for the ORA-16191 earlier today.
A google search, and/or a ML search can provide a wealth of information.
