The original intent of my question is to see if the price trend has played a
role in increasingly attracting some small software vendors to stop supporting
Oracle and embrace SQL Server, if we only compare these two RDBMS's. (For the
price trend of the latter, I'll go to a different forum.) Now I know the Oracle
software license fee itself is unlikely to be a factor.
