I had a look at the two some time ago and remember not being too impressed by them either. So I'd say SELECT, also, and certainly the UKOUG's magazine Oracle Scene (brilliant), and ODTUG's.

And The Economist, which will now and then run an article that explains why Oracle wants to buy PeopleSoft, or why Larry is doing this or that.

Helmut,

I was wondering whether anybody out there has subscribed to

any Oracle

Magazines (not the one from Oracle itself)?

AFAIK there are only two magazines out there:

There is certainly one more!! It is the SELECT Magazine - IOUG's quarterly
publication which is chock-full of excellent, peer-reviewed articles. Most
of the authors, and indeed many of the Editors as well, are on this List.
SELECT is part of the deal when you sign up with IOUG, and is just one of
the many benefits if IOUG membership. I believe the rates for membership are
available at IOUG's site. Of course, you also get to all the _papers_ that
were presented at IOUG - past and present.
