Guys,

Running 8.1.7.0.0 on win2k.
3rd party app connects via JDBC Driver version 8.1.7.0.0.

We had problems with sessions hanging which Oracle support suggested
were caused by either bug 3022168 or 1956339.
In either case the proposal is to upgrade JDBC to version 9.2.0.5

We've no plans to upgrade database version at present and 3rd party app
supplier has hinted at problems running database and JDBC driver at
different levels.
Anybody out there have any experience with this good or bad, anything I
need to watch for?

Lisa.
