I think it's but best if you follow Oracle's Note ID 880936.1 from
metalink (Requirements for isntalling 11gR2 RDBMS on RHEL (and OEL) 5 on
32-bit x86") for example . I installed 11.2 onto RHEL5.5 without
problems following the note. I don't saw in the note any reference to
EL4 libs though, only to RHEL5

I am trying to install oracle 11.2 on rehdat 2.6.18-194
The packages I need don't seem to be available on Redhat specifically
gcc-4.1.2.el4 anybody managed to install?
