Is the patch stuck at a single worker? What is the average speed of workers completion? How many workers are used by adpatch ? SGA of 5G when we have 16G of memory might not be the best. Consider increasing it to 8G if /dev/shm allows it. Try to run AWR report for a duration of 2hrs when patch is running and see what is the top wait event. It might give an insight into what is going wrong. ~Ravi.M On Thu, Sep 2, 2010 at 4:18 PM, Avadhani mys <avadhanimys@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Adding to the below note, when i restart the DB and continue the patching > session it runs fine for some hours and hangs again. > > Regards > Avadhani > > > On Thu, Sep 2, 2010 at 3:59 PM, Avadhani mys <avadhanimys@xxxxxxxxx>wrote: > >> Hello Gurus, >> >> Please help me to understand the parameters to be set at DB end to speed >> up the NLS driver patching process. >> we are upgrading 11.5.9 to R12.1.1 on RHEL5.
