Grid Infrasgtructure Insallation failure

Hi
If we are upgrading 10g Clusterware/ASM with 11g R2 Grid Infrastructure and if
either it failed after asmca configuration or if we need to deinstall, what
will
happen to ASM Metadata. Can I able to start Oracle 10g clusterware /ASM by
using
Oracle Clusterware/ASM software along with OCR/Voting Disk and other cluster
related files.
