Seema - Did you turn on the "RUN_FASTER" switch? Start with the Unix command
uptime, see what is happening on the server.

Subject: DATABASE SLOW

Hi,
I have one instance on SUN box.
# of users connecting to box =max 25
Oracle version =8.1.7.0.0
Sytem rebooted yesterday.
When I am trying to connect sqlplus internal, its taking longer
time.Yesterday after reboot system was performing very good.Nothing change
after that.
System ideal =99%
Memory only available =46mb (total mem-1.5gb)

database stats shows fine except buffer hit ratio.

Wondering why connect time is very very slow.
ANy thought?
