Scott,

Not only is it possible but there are at least as many ways to do it in 12c
as there are in 11g. Assuming you are using rman duplicate, the biggest
difference you need to be aware of is that the auxiliary instance has to be
started with the enable_pluggable_database=true init parameter before
executing the duplicate command.
