Amusing Oracle bug

OS REDHAT 4 Oracle 10g
If you forget the slash in a db file convert parameter
as in
db_file_name_convert=("/fred/dir1/","/bill/dir1");
for an rman database duplicate you get duplicate files !
Ie /fred/dir1/system01.dbf becomes
/bill/dir1/system01.dbf
/bill/dir1system01.dbf
Not sure WHICH is the real db file though! .
