Pat, Kowa makes an expensive digital model. The eyepiece is angled at about
30degrees and therefore not "straight forward" to use. The 2 meg chip uses
about 1/3 of the chip so the final image area after croping is about video
resolution.
OIS had a suit case sized modular system a few years ago. I don't know if they
are still selling it.
Of course there are now attachments for cell phones. This might do what you
need.
