The Clinical Applications Specialist will develop and maintain the expertise, knowledge, and hand-on experience related to all assigned company products in order to ensure effective and efficient clinical trainings. Additional responsibility is to develop and maintain all training program content for company products. It is critical to design, develop, create, and deliver efficient, high quality, and timely training as needed for customers as well as for Clarity personnel. Training will be delivered through various channels, including web-based training, live video conference, and in-person onsite visits. In addition, product demonstrations to key customers, during medical conferences, and in support of clinical meetings are an important component of this position. Mastery of all Clarity products, including imaging and informatics products, and detailed knowledge of their User’s Manuals is essential. Significant domestic and international travel to meetings and customer sites is required. The position also requires a collaborative working relationship with cross functional teams within Clarity that include Sales and Marketing, Service, Research and Development, and Regulatory and Quality. In addition, interactions will be required with a variety of customers, including nurses, technicians, administrators, physicians, key opinion leaders, and institutions. Responsibilities and Duties: ¨ Responsible for customer clinical training on all assigned Clarity products. ¨ Develop and maintain a high level of user knowledge and expertise for all Clarity imaging and informatics products. ¨ Develop training materials and programs. ¨ Extensive domestic and international travels to visit customer sites, provide product demonstrations, meet with key opinion leaders, and support marketing at medical conferences. ¨ Train the Clarity sales team, including international distributors, on all assigned products. ¨ Communicate clinical feedback from the field. ¨ When requested, provide input to R&D teams for new and existing hardware and software products. ¨ Provide user perspectives regarding Sales and Marketing initiatives both domestically and internationally. ¨ Collaborate with clinical leaders in research initiatives. ¨ Evaluate opportunities for improvement in training, including for example, use and design of baby head simulation tools for training. ¨ Maintain and make available to Clarity and partners an up-to-date literature database. ¨ Ability to install all assigned Clarity products. Experience, Education, Training, Skills, Traits: ¨ College degree, or equivalent experience. ¨ Ability to travel extensively both internationally and domestically. ¨ 10 or more years related clinical experience preferred. ¨ Experience in photography and clinical ophthalmology preferred but not required. ¨ Facile with general office computing (e.g. word processing, spreadsheets) ¨ Proficient with presentation software applications (e.g. PowerPoint, Visio) ¨ Work experience as an ophthalmic technician and/or pediatric nurse helpful.
