The actions of dietary supplements are diverse and may even be adverse.
Their prevalence and their potential toxicity are under appreciated among
ophthalmologists and allied personnel. With a high index of suspicion, both
vision-threatening and potentially life-threatening interactions may be
avoided. Upon completion of the course, the attendee will be better able to
recognize and discuss the risks and benefits of supplement use in the
