Hi folks, This is a wonderful monitor. There was no need to adjust it when I turned it on; there are six buttons on the lower right corner of the monitor, just below and outside the glass area. The buttons are on the frame surrounding the glass, so if you're not careful your arm might touch the buttons and change something. Other than that, the letters are a nice, readable size; even when there are a few windows on the screen. I could read e-mail messages with the R1D, and a regular optacon lens, in regular mode; the only time I used invert was when Windows was coming up. There might be a way to make the letters a little brighter, but I haven't needed to do that. Amazon has this display for about $105. A little stand comes with it, but I didn't bother with it. I just plugged it in and turned it on, by pushing all the buttons and hoping one of them would work. I guess the power is either the left-most or right-most; not sure which. My desktop PC came right up when I turned it on, although I couldn't get into safe mode; that's for another day, and there are a couple PS/2 ports on the machine so I'll give it a try some time later with an older keyboard.
