Talk about a downer!! Everything revolting about Apple comes to Redmond!

Perhaps the notion of grafting yet another appendage onto Windows is what is really revolting.

Apple is developing all kinds of friends in the developer community with the tools that they provide for both the Mac OS and iOS. Developers are particularly keen on the checks that Apple keep writing them for wares sold through the App stores, and consumers are very happy with the new pricing structure of downloaded apps, both for mobile devices and Desktops. And yes, where it makes sense, some features of iOS are making their way into the Mac OS.

But Metro is another animal altogether. Adding an entirely new UI that is appropriate to tablets and making this part of Windows is risky at best, and may be the straw that breaks the Redmond Camels back.

Surprising that Bert has put up with Microsoft this long...

Craig
