[opendtv] Simplify set-top-box software updates

This article makes the case that the only way to distribute STB software
updates efficiently in an IPTV network is to use IP Multicast. Which is to say,
not use TCP/IP-based applications like FTP or HTTP.
Interesting thing is, the arguments and the techniques hold equally for a
broadcast TV protocol, like cable TV and OTA TV. The solution in every case is
to make updates available in a one-way transfer, simultaneously to oodles of
boxes.
