Now look at the story you posted, which claims that Ofcom has studied the situation and believes that 4-5 HD signals can be delivered alongside the 30+ channels WITHOUT ANY EXTRA SPECTRUM. I went through this several weeks ago. They can transition to ALL EDTV AND HDTV WITHOUT the need for more spectrum. And as I outlined in the post to which you responded, with EDTV ALL of the 30+ SD channels will look like HDTV on the VAST MAJORITY of sets deployed in the U.K. Regards Craig ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can UNSUBSCRIBE from the OpenDTV list in two ways: - Using the UNSUBSCRIBE command in your user configuration settings at FreeLists.org - By sending a message to: opendtv-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
