They were only showing their E-VSB demo at the drafthouse. That demo had to be canned because it would require them to install their E-VSB modulator at the TV station, which would require the station to broadcast with a non-standard modulation system. They are trying to get it to become part of the standard. They were not showing their 5 generations of VSB chips at the drafthouse, so no reason to do off-air. While the location was next to a window, I'm willing to bet that the=20 multipath was probably vicious in that location. The window faced=20 west, looking toward the strip; the building blocked signals from=20 Black Mountain. It is likely that there were some very strong echos=20 off of some of the bigger hotels on the strip, possibly stronger than=20 the actual signal. And the window appeared to have the same metalized=20 tinting used on so many buildings in Vegas.
