I'm sure the ATSC version will be back soon... John http://www.tvtechnology.com/dlrf/one.php?id=802 Date posted: 2005-03-22 DTV Tuner Fits in USB Stick DigiTimes.com carried an article by Vyacheslav Sobolev, CeBIT: TV tuner in a USB Stick from Compro, describing the VideoMate DVB-T Stick, a complete USB 2.0 based DTV receiver for the European DVB-T format. According to the article, Compro Technology plans to begin shipment of the tuner and two analog-only USB 2.0 TV tuners in July. The one company I found making USB ATSC HDTV tuners, Sasem, appears to have stopped production of the unit. The Web site www.usbhdtv.com that used to have information on the product now only shows a picture of it with a "This Web site is currently under construction" note. A Web site that used to offer the Sasem USB tuner, www.copperbox.com now lists it as "obsolete." Copperbox indicated DViCO FusionHDTV may soon offer an ATSC version of its DVB-T USB receiver, but so far there is no mention of it on either Web site. ATI Technologies released new USB analog tuners last year, but people waiting for a USB ATSC tuner have been disappointed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can UNSUBSCRIBE from the OpenDTV list in two ways: - Using the UNSUBSCRIBE command in your user configuration settings at FreeLists.org - By sending a message to: opendtv-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
