Is this problem with the code in the cvs? If so, I can take a quick

I was thinking that we may want to use the softsynth from Allegro.
Allegro is a library for writing games, and it has been ported to
BeOS. (It is called "Allegro WIP" on bebits.) It apparently
contains a softsynth called DIGMID. It seems that this is a pretty
simple synth and that we can "rip it" and add to our midi kit. Maybe
you can take a look at the Allegro sources...
