             Bug #: 878
Summary: Sound system related (?) freeze on Windows 9x with a
                    SB32 card
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: Odamex
           Version: 0.6-dev
          Platform: x86 (Windows, Linux, etc)
        OS/Version: Windows
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P1
         Component: Client
        AssignedTo: odamex-bug-reporter@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: myk_helnyte@xxxxxxxxx

I can start Odamex but no sound plays (music wasn't enabled) and on the first
apparent sound effect it freezes. I can move around and swap weapons, attack
the air with the fist, lower and raise the console or type in it, or activate
cheats, but if I invoke the menu, fire a weapon, jump down a ledge and cause
the "oof" sound, hump a wall, raise the chainsaw, or activate a monster (which
starts making noises or shooting) the game freezes and needs to be killed in
the Windows task manager. I tried with -nosound, -nosound and -nomusic, and
-nosfx but the issue persisted.

I use Windows 98 (1st edition) and a Sound Blaster 32. This is Odamex 0.6.1.
