I also have a Canon SX50 HS, and I love it. It was recommended by one of
the photographers that frequents Ridgefield NWR, where I volunteer. Really
good clarity, sharp, a great zoom, and can be used in automatic or manual
mode. It 's also lightweight, which was something I was looking for. The
only thing it's not good at is shooting moving objects on automatic. One
of the rangers, after seeing mine, just recently bought the SX60, the next
incarnation of the same camera, and it's a great camera, as well.
