Hi Everybody, Took a quick trip to the Beta Dr pond area south of Albany this morning to check up on shorebirds primarily. I first scoped the extensive field areas south of the pond and found 3 LONG-BILLED CURLEWs way down at the south end of the field about quarter of a mile south of the pond. They were walking in and out of the dirt clods kicked up by the plowing tractor active in the field. My guess is the other 3 were there too, just couldn't see them because of the clods. The pond itself was pretty devoid of shorebirds, I found only a couple KILLDEER and a few WESTERN SANDPIPERS. All the goodies from the last few days have disappeared from the area :) Jeff
