In addition, from August 1 - October, Hwy 20 will also be closed nights between
Philomath and Newport. so if you come to the coast for a day, plan a different
route home.

Oregon, note that ODOT is closing US 20 (Tombstone Pass route) about 25 miles
east of Sweet Home on August 2, for up to two months, to fix a bridge affected
by a slide.
Thus you need to go via Detroit or the McKenzie River.
