A gorgeous day on the coast allowed for some nice waterfowl watching on Bayocean Spit in Tillamook. While scanning the large flocks of wigeon and pintail for the occasional Eurasion wigeon I noticed one stocky shorebird (this was directly out from the parking lot) which turned out to be a red knot. While watching the knot a rough-legged hawk came soaring past. Plenty of brant on the bay side and a large flock of canvasbacks with at least a couple redheads mixed in were on the lake.
