******** **** On Thursday (10/31) I saw four adult swans on the lagoon between the freeway and the gorge wall to its south. This is at the Rooster Rock exit 25 of I-84 eastbound. They were scattered and appeared to be feeding. I was in a hurry and didn't stop. Saturday (11/2) they were together on the far (southern) shore loafing at 10:15 am. I recall a recurrent Mute Swan at Steigerwald NWR across the Columbia in recent years. It seems early for Tundra Swans and not a typical location either. I was in a hurry again Saturday morning. There's ample room to park and scope in the vicinity of Exit 25.
