[obol] birding optics choices

I often get asked by e-mail what optics I use, and because I am a
Curmudgeon, answering the question becomes wearisome ­ you can't qualify as
a Curmudgeon unless you use words like "wearisome."

For this reason I have written a little essay called "My Optics" that talks
about everything I own (and some things I used to own) and what I like and
don't about them.  It's on my blog at:
