i observed them on the Wasatch Front, Salt Lake City, where the call
impressed me as quite distinct. I wouldn't hesitate to ID it in Oregon based on
sound. Since I began monitoring Obol someone reported a Scrub Jay nest on Hart
Mtn in a sage bush. Someone else saw one along Hwy 140 between Hart Mtn and
Denio where there was only sagebrush, no trees in sight. This split is going to
make us nostalgic for the days of Plumbeous/Cassin's Vireo reports . The last
year Big Al was compiler of the Coquille Valley Count someone reported two
Swainson's Thrushes and he mildly replied,"Do you have the bodies?"
