I have for sale a pair of Swarovski 8.5x42 binoculars. They were purchased new
in 2009, just before “Swarovision” was introduced. They are in perfect
condition and include all original packaging and accessories. For some users,
Swarovision was an unwelcome change, as they sensed a “rolling ball” effect as
the tradeoff for a flatter image a bit sharper at the edges. I have a newer
pair with the upgrade, and I can’t tell any difference.
These seem to be running $1500 to $1800 on eBay, though without purchase or
manufacture date, comparisons are a little iffy. I would take $1400, and of
course you’d be welcome to examine them.
I’m in outer SE Portland but would be willing to meet anyplace within, say, a
50-mile radius.
