This morning's low fog & drizzle knocked down insects and the swallows that feed on them to jut above water level. There were 5000+ swallows foraging at Foster Reservoir in Sweet Home of the VIOLET-GREEN, CLIFF & BARN variety. In the mountains this morning was a nice chorus of SWAINSON'S & HERMIT THRUSHES, SOOTY GROUSE, PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATCHER and other coniferous semi-obligates.
